Kate Owen-King is an associate lawyer with Purser Dooley Cockburn Smith. Kate’s
practice includes commercial litigation, contractual disputes, construction litigation,
employment law, insurance litigation, and creditors’ rights and remedies.
Kate was born and raised in Simcoe County. She obtained her Honours Bachelor
of Arts from the University of Toronto, majoring in Anthropology, with minors in
English and History. Kate attended law school at the University of British
Columbia in Vancouver, and was called to the bar in 2006.
Kate enjoys traveling, international cuisine, playing tennis, and reading fiction.
She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and the
Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
