Melanie joined Purser Dooley Cockburn Smith LLP as an associate in 2007 after articling and practicing for three years at a full service law firm in Toronto. Melanie practices exclusively in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence litigation. She also routinely handles commercial and employment matters.
Melanie has appeared at many levels of court including the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal. Melanie has achieved favourable results for her clients at private mediations and arbitrations. She is dedicated to servicing her clients in a cost effective and timely manner to meet her client’s business and financial goals.
Melanie enjoys golfing, running and spending time with family and friends. As a new resident of Barrie, she very much looks forward to discovering the city and surrounding area attractions. She also hopes to become a better skier and golfer.
